Frequently Asked Questions on Prosecco Hills Tour
Everything you need to know about private Prosecco wine tours in the UNESCO Prosecco Hills.
PROSECCO WINE TOURS
What is included in a private Prosecco wine tour? The tour includes private transportation during your experience, my service as your local private driver and a personalized itinerary through the Prosecco Hills. Wine tasting fees, lunch and other personal expenses are not included in the tour price.
How many wineries will we visit? The number of wineries depends on the duration of your tour and the itinerary we create together. I prefer to allow enough time to enjoy each place without rushing.
Are wine tastings included? No. Wine tasting fees are not included in the tour price. Each winery has its own tasting options and prices, generally between €20 and €35 per person per winery. I can recommend wineries according to your interests and help you arrange the visits.
Can we choose the wineries we visit? Yes. If you already have a particular winery in mind, let me know. Otherwise, I can recommend wineries based on your preferences, the type of wines you would like to taste and the kind of experience you are looking for. I always book the wineries myself, so you are expected and welcomed properly when you arrive.
What is the tour designed to show you? The tour is designed to help you discover the differences between one hill and another: each slope has its own exposure, altitude and microclimate, which shape the character of the wine. It is not just a series of tastings — it is a way to understand why the same grape can produce such different wines just a few kilometres apart.
Do you visit small family-owned wineries? Yes. I particularly enjoy introducing my guests to small, family-owned wineries and local producers. These places offer a more personal and authentic way to discover the Prosecco Hills and meet the people behind the wine.
What is Prosecco Superiore DOCG? Prosecco Superiore DOCG is produced in the historic hills around Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. The area is known for its steep vineyards, unique landscape and centuries-old winemaking tradition.
FROM VENICE TO THE PROSECCO HILLS
Can I take a Prosecco wine tour from Venice? Yes. If you are staying in Venice, you can easily reach the Prosecco Hills by train and meet me at the agreed meeting point. This is a convenient and affordable way to enjoy a private Prosecco wine tour.
Do you offer pickup from Venice?
No. I do not offer pickup from Venice. The easiest and most convenient option is to take the train from Venice to the agreed meeting point in the Prosecco Hills area. A round-trip train ticket costs approximately €12 per person and is often faster and more convenient than travelling by car from Venice. I will meet you at the agreed train station and drive you through the Prosecco Hil
Can I visit the Prosecco Hills without renting a car? Absolutely. You do not need to rent a car. If you are staying in Venice, simply take the train to our agreed meeting point. From there, I will drive you through the Prosecco Hills. This is also a great option if you plan to enjoy wine tastings, as you do not have to worry about driving.
