Venice is magnificent, but just 60 kilometres away lies another world entirely: the Prosecco Superiore DOCG Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where time slows down among heroic vineyards, medieval villages and golden bubbles.
Getting There
From Venice Santa Lucia station, a train reaches Susegana in around 50 minutes — easy, affordable and scenic. I will be waiting for you there: from that moment on, I take care of everything.
What to Expect
The roads are narrow and winding, the views breathtaking. You climb through the vines to the hilltops, where the landscape opens up in a way only these hills can offer. The producers I visit are small, authentic and passionate — the kind of winery you will never find in a guidebook.
And then there is the food: local cured meats, exceptional cheeses, tiramisù — born right here in Treviso — and of course Prosecco Superiore DOCG, sparkling, fruity and sincere.
How Long
My tours last 4, 6, 7 or 8 hours — and I will drop you back at Susegana station to catch your train back to Venice.
